Heikki Koivula joins Nordic Law as Senior iGaming Industry Advisor

Heikki Koivula joins Nordic Law today, 1 October 2026, as Senior iGaming Industry Advisor. His strong commercial and operational background, together with his international experience, will further strengthen Nordic Law’s gambling industry expertise.

Heikki is an experienced gambling industry expert with a strong commercial and operational background and extensive experience across both B2C and B2B gambling businesses. He has nearly a decade of experience in the gambling industry in Malta, along with strong expertise in the commercial, regulatory, and compliance aspects of the sector. He also has extensive experience in international, multi-market gambling projects and a strong understanding of different market environments and their business and regulatory development.

Heikki has been actively involved in developing the Finnish gambling regulatory framework through industry association activities, working with industry stakeholders to support the development of a new licensing model. He is a regular speaker, moderator, and panelist at gambling industry conferences across Europe and frequently comments on current industry developments as an expert in leading European gambling and iGaming publications.
